Equity aforesayd, wee Doe hereby Require & Comand you
and Every of you in and upon the ffaith and ffidelity which
you owe and in which you stand bound and holden unto us
firmly injoyning that in all things touching the Office and
Offices of Justice and Justices aforesayd and to the Conser-
vacon of us our peace and the peace of our said Province you
be fully and wholy obedient and assisting unto our said Cheif
Justice and Justices Respectively. Witnes our self at London
the sixteenth day of ffebruary in the foure & Thirtieth yeare
of our Dominion over our said Province of Maryland, and in
the yeare of our Lord God One Thowsand six hundred sixty
and five stilo veteri.
Instruccons orders and Authorityes to be observed and
Executed by our most Deare sonne Charles Calvert Esqr our
Leivetennant Generall and Cheif Governor of our Province of
Maryland, and of our Dominions thereunto belonging.
Cecilius absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Provinces of
Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltamore &c. To our
most Deare sonne Charles Calvert Esqr our Leivetennant
Generall and Cheif Comander of our Province of Maryland
and of our Dominions thereunto belonging Greeting, wee
Doe hereby will require apointe and authorise you to observe
performe and Execute the severall and Respective orders
Instructions Directions and authorityes hereafter mentioned
in such manner & forme as the same are hereby ordered and
Directed to be observed performed & Executed, that is
to say.
ffirst wee will and require you so soone as Conveniently
you may to call and sumon a Generall Assembly within our
said Province and to offer unto them such bills Lawes or Acts
as you shall herewith Receive from us by the hands of our
Trusty and welbeloved Richard Boughton Esqr our Principall
Secretary of our said Province under our Seale and in case
the said Assembly so to be called and sumoned shall assent
unto and approve the same, that then you give our publique
assent unto the same and Cause the same to be published
under our greate Seale of our said Province as Lawes and
Acts.
Item that you sumons by writ writs or Otherwise all our
Privy Councellors to sit in the upper house of such Assembly
together wth such psons not Exceeding the number of Seaven
freemen of our said Province to sit in our said upper house of
Assembly as members of the same together with our said
privy Councellors as you in your Discretion shall thinke fit
and that from time to time and at all times hereafter so often
