All controversies either betweene Souldiers and their
4 Captaines or other Officers or betweene Souldier and
Soldier relateing to their military capacityes shall he sum-
marily heard & determined at the next Court Martiall of the
Regiment.
In any matter which shall be adjudged in any of the
410 aforesaid Regimentall Court Martialls either of the partys
that find himselfe aggreived, may appeale to the Generall
Court Martiall who are to take care that if the party appeale-
ing make not good his suggestion, recompence be made to
the Other for the trouble and Charge of such an appeale.
In all Criminall causes which Concerne his Loppand his
430 Goverment his Lopps Advocate Generall, or Judge Advo-
cate of his Lopps Army shall informe the Court and prosecute
on his Lopps behalfe.
Noe Officers or Souldiers shall presume to hinder the
430 provost martiall, his Leivtenent or Servants in the execu-
tion of that Office upon paine of death or such other punish-
ment as a Court Martiall shall thinke fitt. But on the contrary
all Captaines Officers and Souldiers shall doe their utmost to
apprehend and bring to punishment all Offenders, and shall
assist the Officers of the Army for that purpose, especially
the said provost martiall his Leivtenant and Servants, and if
the provost martiall or his Officers require the assistance of
any Officer or Souldier in the apprehending any person
declareing to them that it is a Capital Crime, and the party
escape for want of aide and assistance, the party or parties
refuseing to aide or assist shall Suffer such punishment as a
Court Marshall shall inflict.
Noe Officer or Souldier of what quality or degree
440 soever shall at any time presume to Offer violence to, or
lay any violent hands upon the persons of any Embassadors
or others ministers sent Out to treate with the Generall or
other Comander in Cheife of his Lopps fforces, touching peace
or warr, but that they shall grant and afford to the said
Embassadours or other ministers as afforesaid the priviledge of
safe conduct with free ingresse, egresse & regresse dureing
the time of such treaty without the least act of hostility to be
offered to their persons or the persons of their retinue and
attendants under paine of death.
That Officer or Souldier who shall presume to draw
450 his Sword in any place of judicature while the Court is
sitting shall suffer such punishment as shall be inflicted on
him by a Court Martiall. And his Lopp doth hereby authorize
the provost martiall of his Lopps Army by his owne authority
to apprehend such Offenders, and if any Souldier being
comitted for any Offence shall breake prison the said
