their pay, any inferior Officers accessary thereto shall suffer
death for it, as the heads and Ring leaders of such mutinous
and Seditious meetings, and the Souldiers shall be punished
either with death or otherwise at the discretion of his Lopps
Generall Court Marshall, and if any Captaine being privy
thereunto shall not suppresse the same or Complaine of it, he
shall likewise be punished with death or otherwise as the said
Generall Court Martiall shall thinke fitt.
Noe Officer or Souldier shall utter any words tending
to Sedition mutiny or Uproar upon paine of Suffering
such punishment as shall be inflicted on him by a Court Mar-
shall And whosoever shall heare any mutinous or seditious
words Spoken and shall not with all possible Speed reveale
the same to his Superior Officers or Comanders shall be pun-
ished as a Court Marshall shall thinke fitt.
If any Inferiour Officer or Souldier shall refuse to
Obey his Superior Officer or shall quarrel with him, he
shall be cashiered or suffer such punishment as a Court Mar-
shall shall thinke fitt, but if any Souldier shall presume to
resist any Officer in the execution of his Office or shall strike
or lift up his hand to stricke or shall draw or offer to draw or
lift up any weapon against his Superiour Officer upon any
pretence whatsoever he shall Suffer death or other condigne
punishment as a Generall Court Marshall shall thinke fitt.
Every Souldier shall keepe silence when the Army is
130 marching embatteling and takeing Up their Quarters (to
the end that their Officers may be heard and their Orders
executed) upon paine of imprisonment or such other punish-
ment as a Court Martiall shall thinke fitt according to the
circumstances and aggrevation of the ffact.
He who shall in Anger draw his Sword whilst his
140 colours are flying either in Battle or upon the march
unlesse it be against the Enemy shall Suffer such punishment
as a Court Martiall shall thinke fitt.
When any march is to be made every man who is
150 sworne shall follow his Colours and who ever shall (with-
out leave) stay behind or depart above a mile from the Camp
or Out of the Army without Licence shall suffer such punish-
ment as shall be inflicted on him by a Court Martiall.
When an Army or any part thereof shall march through
the Country or lodge or Quarter in any plantation or
plantations belonging to any Inhabitant or Inhabitants of this
Province none of them shall wittingly or willingly commit any

wast or spoile nor tread downe or otherwise destroy standing
Corne or other graine whether Indian or Other, nor tobacco
nor any other husbandry or manufacture whatsoever, whereby
the Inhabitants of this province seeke to gett a livelyhood for
