Matchcoates as a marke of Our Gratitude and that he have
the value of One hundred Armes length of Roanoke viz. foure
matchcoates for every prisoner of the Susquehanoughs they
have taken and delivered the said Matchcoates to be paid to
the Indians that tooke the said prisonrs
And for what concernes the Pascattoway Indians they like-
wise humbly desire that the said Indians may have foure
matchcoates delivered them for every prisoner they have
delivered to be paid to the Indians that tooke them
Next Whereas the said King of Mattawoman desires to
infort himselfe for the security of himselfe and people against
the Susquehanoughs who are now his Enemyes Only because
he hath espoused our quarrell against them The Councell doe
request that it may be ordered that he have the liberty to
infort himselfe with his people upon any place the Governour
shall thinke fitt and that his signing of this request shall make
this an Order of the Governour and Councell.

The Councell doe humbly desire the Governours concur-
rence to an Order That twenty men and horse be kept Out
ranging between Petapsco and Potomack untill the Gover-
nours Order to the Contrary And that the Comander that
shall be appointed by the Governour have power to presse
horses armes ammunition and provision where ever he come.
