By the Governor & Councell the third day of Novembr in
the 44th yeare of the Dominion of Cecilius &c. Annoq Dmi
1675
Forasmuch as divers Charges have arose for the necessary
defence & safety of the Inhabitants of this Province in the late
Expedicon agt the Susquehanough Indians And that such
Charges that have so accrued may be defrayed & duly paid
& a true & just accompt thereof knowne that an Allowance
may be made. The Sheriffes of each respective County are
Ordered to make publiq Proclamacon throughout their
respective Countyes That all persons that have been att any
Charge & Expences for Provision Amunicon or otherwise
about the said late Expedicon in managing the warr agt the
Susquehanough Indians be & appeare att the next Provincll
Court to be holden att the Citty of St Maryes the 16th day of
this instant Novembr or deliver their several Accompts thereof
to the Sheriffes of each respective County that they may have
the same ready to deliver in to the Governor & Councell att
the said Court Given &c

of St Maryes County.
Like Proclamacon then Issued to Henry Stockett High
Sheriffe of Ann Arundell County.
Like Proclamacon then Issued to Henry Darnall High
Sheriffe of Calvert County.

The Councill takeing into Consideration the merits of the
King of Mattawoman viz. that he came first in to Major
Truman Voluntaryly and offered all his men to Serve us
against the Susquehanoughs and his women and Children for
Hostages and for that he continued all the time of the Warr
with the English and in the pursuite of the Enemy Doe hum-
bly desire the Governours Concurrence to an Order that the
said King of Mattawoman may be presented with twelve
