Assembly. And wee haveing consulted and advised with our
Councill thereupon, Wee Doe by and with their advice con-
sent and approbation hereby proclaime publish and Declare
our Disassent to the said Act, and the same to be null and
void to all intents and purposes, any clause thereof or any
thing therein conteined to the contrary in any wise notwith-
standing And that (after the Dissolution of this present
generall Assembly) for the future two Delegates onely shall
be elected and chosen for every County to sitt and vote in
succeeding Assemblies.
And whereas our said generall Assembly holden as afore-
said by severall prorogations hath been prorogued and con-
tinued untill the Eleaventh Day of October next ensueing,
but severall urgent and weighty occasions and affaires relate-
ing to the state and wellfare of this our Province (now every
way alarmed by fforreigne Indians) since interveeneing which
requires the sooner and more speedy conveeneing and sitting
thereof, Wee have by and with the advice and consent of our
Councill determined and ordeined, and wee doe hereby fully
Resolve Determine and ordeine that the said Generall
Assembly be held at our City of St Maries on the Sixteenth
Day of August next ensueing And therefore wee Doe hereby
will and require as also strictly charge and command all and
singular the Sheriffes of this our Province forthwith upon
Receipt hereof to make Proclamation hereof in the most pub-
lick and convenient places within their respective Counties
and to give notice to all and singular the Delegates and
Deputyes by the ffreemen of their County already elected and
which are now liveing and resideing within their said County
that all excuses sett apart they and every of the said Dele-
gates come and personally appeare at the said City of St
Maries on the said Sixteenth Day of August next ensueing to
doe and consent to those thinges which then and there by the
favour of God shall happen to be Ordeined by us by and with
Lib. R. R.
the advice and consent of our greate Councill of this our
Province concerning the state and wellfare of this our Prov-
ince, And also to give notice to such of our Councill as
inhabitt in their Respective Counties that all excuses sett
apart they also be and appeare at the Day and place afore-
said in the upper house of our said Generall Assembly to the
end and purpose aforesaid Given at our City of St Maries
under the greate Seale of our said Province of Maryland the
Seaven and twentieth Day of June in the sixth yeare of our
Dominion &c Annoq Domini One Thousand Six hundred
