Lib. R. did severall times instigate them to joine with the Nanticokes
against the English but would not agree to it, and still doe
say that they doe intend mischiefe to the English, and that
suddenly
And some time since the same Indian did tell me words to
the same effect, and still have and doe instigate Ababco and
his Indians to joine with them, and as he saith have as yett
refused it, soe much from Barthol Ennalls.

George Kent likewise Declare that about the 15th of May
comeing from Delaware by the head of the Northwest branch
of Nanticoke he did heare people at work and he doe sup-
pose them to be Indians, and did likewise see more Indians
goeing to them with axes and provision on their backs, and
he doe suppose and he is informed there is a hundred hoggs
which Daily comes into their ffort the mark of
George x Kent

p. 184 May 28th 1681:
Edward Hide was at the house of Henry Swigget and saw
Eight Indians goe into the house when they were a planting,
and one of them came and presented a gunn at them, and I
chanced to hold up my head from planting and see him, and
he slided Downe his gunn again, and I with the rest went up
to them and asked what Indians they were and they said they
were Chicacone Indians and went away Signed

At the house of Capt Dawson there came twenty Indians or
more all armed and painted and came some into the house
and some sett downe their gunns without doores, at last one
of them starts up and said all the Indians was angry. This
Information by Edward Pindar, William Smithson and
Richard Adames.

May 30th 1681:
Tho: Wheeler saw two Indians well armed close by Mr
William Hills Plantation and he stood and viewed them very
well and they him and just turned about his head and they
were gone Sign
Tho: X Wheeler

May 30th 1681:
Benjamin Palmes informeth that Thomas Harpin and
Charles Hutchins and Edward ffisher was at Nanticocke ffort
and all the Indians except some weomen and Children were
gone with their Corne skinns and matter and other truck.
