The tryall of the said Indians is accordingly appointed to
be on Wednesday the 22th Day of this instant June at the
City of St Maries when and where all persons that cann give
Evidence against the prisoners in Custody are to appeare to
make good their charge
Venire facias to issue to the Sheriff of St Maries County for
the summoning of a Jury

And a Commission of Oyer and Terminer to be Directed
to Philip Calvert Esqr Chancelor William Calvert Esqr Secry
Henry Darnall Esqr and William Digges Esqr
Wch Commission was as followeth viz.

Charles Absolute Lord and Propry of the Province of Mary-
land and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &ca To our trusty
and dearely beloved uncle and Councellor Philip Calvert Esqr
our Chancellor of our sd Province Our Deare Couzen William
Calvert Esqr our Councellor and principall Secry of our said
Province, and our trusty and well beloved Councellors Henry
Darnall Esqr and William Digges Esqr Greeteing. Know
yee that we have Assigned you or any three or more of you
(whereof you the said Philip Calvert and William Calvert are
alwaies to be one) Our Judges to Enquire by the oathes of
twelve good and lawfull men of this Province, and by such
other waies and meanes by which the truth of the matter
may more plainly appeare and to you shall seeme best
and shall be within your power, of all such Treasons, Mis-
prision of Treason against his most sacred Majestic the King
of England our dread Soveraigne, Murders, Insurrections,
Rebellions, Mutinies and Seditions, Burglaryes unlawfull
meeteings, and speakeing of words against us or our
Dominion over this Province, as also of the Accessaryes to
the same within this Province by whomsoever and whenso-
ever done perpetrated or Committed, and by whom against
whom, when, how, and in what manner, and of all other
Articles and Circumstances of the premisses them or any of
them any manner of way touching or Concerning, And the
same treasons, Misprision of treason agt his said Majestic,
Murders, Insurrections, Rebellions, Mutinies & Seditions Bur-
glaryes, unlawfull meeteings or speakeing of words against
us or our Dominion over this ^Province and other the Prem-
isses (for this time) to heare and Determine according to the
Lawes and Customes of the Kingdome of England and of
this our Province, And therefore we Comand you that at cer-
tain Dayes and places which you or any three or more of you
(whereof you the said Philip Calvert and William Calvert are
to be One) shall appoint you make Diligent Enquiry upon
