To the Rt honble the Lord Propry of Maryland
The humble Peticon of Christopher Reighnolds Sheweth
That whereas in the yeare of our Lord 1676: one William
Davis & severall other psons was in rebellion against your
good Lspp: and the good Governmt of this Province, and for
that your Petr by the said William Davis and others of his
Company by faire words intreatyes and many insinuations did
perswade your Petr to go with them as One of their Company
in the said Rebellion all which your Petitioner doth with a
sorrowfull and contrite heart humbly confess to your Lspp and
laying himself at the ffeete of your Lspps mercy humbly prayeth
That your good Lspp will graciously be pleased to pardon
your Petr his said Offence and suffer your Petitioner to dwell
in your Lspps Province (wch he promiseth to Doe as one of
your Lspps good and ffaithfull people for the future) without
lett, hinderance or Disturbance for the said Offence
And as in, Duty bound he shall ever pray
Which petition was granted and thus underwritten viz.
The petitioner well and truly abeareing himself with due
obedience had to the Governmt and the Lawes of this Prov-
ince hath his Offence remitted, and is free quietly to live in
the Province and enjoy the fruits of his Labour
