did likewise require the said Sheriffe to Deliver the said
Servant seized by him to plant her a little cropp of Corne and
other provision for her releife and supply of bread for her
maintenance this next ensueing yeare which the time and
season of the yeare being farr gone and almost too late
already for planting of Corne if she should be any longer
Delayed and the Servant kept and deteined from her would
be to her greate Damage and injury but the sd Sheriffe would
not be by any meanes perswaded to Deliver not the Servant
nor anything else of the Estate to your poore petitioner, The
consideration of all the foresaid proceedings of the foresaid
Sheriffe as is aforesaid Declared I most humbly committ and
submitt my self to your Lspps greate wisdome & serious con-
sideration for the releife of your poore Petitioner in and about
the prmisses aforesaid, And since your Lspp: hath been soe
graciously pleased to Comiserate and abundantly to pitty and
mercifully to grant my humble Petition to yor Lspp: who hath
graciously supplyed the greate wants for a maintenance for
your poore Petitioner for which I most humbly render my
hearty and most humble thankfullness to your Lspp and have-
ing largely & abundantly find manifest your Lspps great grace
and favour vouchsafed to your poore Petitioner by which
meanes I am thereby further encouraged and emboldened to
petition your Lspp to this one greate request more which
whilst your poor Petitioner is silent your poore Petitioners
heart & mind is altogether restless by reason of your poore
petitioners Deplored uncomfortable and unhappy lonesome
life haveing noe society and Assistance nor help of any ffriend

or relation to be with me upon any occasion of need or

necessity and humbly craveing pardon for my humble bold-
ness to your Lspp: to declare and make knowne the same doe
therefore most humbly pray, begg, and beseech your Lspp:
graciously and freely to pardon forgive and remitt the
Offences committed by your poore Petitioners husband
against your Lspp the Law, and a peice of this your Lspps Pro-
vince which if your Lspp shall be graciously pleased to grant
free pardon to your poore Petitioners husband that he may
safely returne to your poore Petitioner, which I hope will be
noe Dishonor to your Lspp: and I trust through the good grace
of God Assisting him will be forever reclamed and reformed
from his wicked conversation, and both your Petitioner and
her husband for all your Lspps speciall grace and greate and
Manifold favours vouchsafed to us Your poore Petitioner
being thereby firmly bound shall for Ever remaine your Lspps
faithfull and most humble Obedient and thankfull Servants
And shall as in most humble Duty bound for Ever pray.
