owne just Debt with others due from the Estate which he
hath bona fide paid, and surrender up the residue of the
Estate to the said Sarah Townesend in Specie as he recd, it
she the said Sarah giveing good Security to the said Miller
that in case hereafter any other debts justly due from the said
Estate shall happen to be claimed and recovered she shall be
answerable for the same soe as to keepe the said Miller truly
indempnified for or by reason thereof.

To the Rt honble Charles absolute Ld and Propry of the Pro-
vince of Maryland & Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &ca
The most humble Peticon of Sarah Humphryes Most
humbly Sheweth
That whereas your Lspp: was graciously pleased upon the
reading of a Peticon that was by your poore petitioner pre-
sented to your Lspp on the 30th day of March last past that
from your Lspps gracious pitty and mercy to the releife and
maintenance of your poore Petitioner freely to give and grant
the Estate of your Petitioners husband seized by the Sheriff
of Kent County for your Lspps vse and by your Lordshipps
ordr on the aforesaid Sheriff to deliver the foresaid Estate
seized as aforesaid to your poore petitioner, which in pursuance
thereof your poore Petitioner demanded of the aforesaid Sheriff
the foresaid Estate according to your Lspps order to him
directed he being then in the house of Major Ringold on the
thirteenth day of this instant Aprill where was likewise at the
same time Joseph Wickes and John Hinson and severall
others and the said Sheriff upon the peruseall and reading of
the foresaid ordr made his reply in answer thereto that he
should willingly obey your Lspps order and command in all
thinges but as to the Estate that he had seized for the vse of
your Lspp he could not Deliver untill he had further ordr from
the Provinciall Court and as for his ffees due to himself he
would not deliver which being demanded to shew a particular
Accot of his ffees he refused pretending he had it not about
him but that the sume for ffees due to him was in all two
thousand four hundred & Seaventy pounds of tobacco which
being required to pay himself his just ffees in tobacco which
he seized in the said Humphryes Estate due by bill of three
thousand pounds of tobacco from Benjamin Randall, which
paymt though undoubtedly he may have it in his possession
yett notwithstanding refused to accept of the said tobacco in
payment for his ffees as aforesaid, And your poore petitioner
