Lib. R. who haveing viewed the warr' and also yor Honrs ffriendly
Advice, he said he was alwaies ready and willing to obey his
Lspp in all thinges but as touching the bond of tenn thousand
pounds of tobacco fforfeitted by Humphrys he should not
make a Delivery of that part till he had made his Return at
the Provinciall Courts, but for the other part that was seized
for the ffellony he was ready to Deliver that. And as touch-
ing Sarah Townesends business concerning her Accot against
Lees Estate he tooke a coppy thereof and also recd: your
Honrs ordr to him directed on that behalf but wanted great
time to consider of it and refused to give her his Accot against
Lees Estate at that time soe that noe Satisfactory Answer was
given to the said Sarah Townesend neither could any Argumt
of the Justices prevaile with the said Miller to Doe the woman
speedy right Whereupon we whose names are here under-
written have taken the boldness upon us to address ourselves
to your Honr on the behalf of the said Townesend for we are
well assured that Mr Miller is more then ordinary Coveteous
in the gaineing soe small an Estate into his hands and soe
sevee're in the holding thereof that wee doe judge it both an
Act of Justice in him and also charitable in us to assist her, in
order thereunto we doe intreate your Honor to view the sd
Sarahs peticon and Doe in it what seemes best to your Dis-
cretion for her Easy and speedy recovery of her due in and
about the sd Estate ffor we doe hereby assure your Honor
Lees Estate cannot be properly charged with more then 210l
tobo by Mr Miller what else he doth charge ought to be recd:

Maryland March the 20th Day 1679:
Know all yee Christian people to whom this may concern
that I Richard Leie of Kent County for divers causes and
considerations I Doe freely give unto Sarah Townesend Senr
and the child which she now goes with all all my personall
Estate, but if the Child should Die to her self and her owne
disposeing for Ever paying all my just Debts, therefore I Doe
exact this to be my free Deed of gift revokeing all other
Deeds of gift what or soe ever or Instrumt of writeing as wit-
ness my hand & seale this Day and yeare above written
