Defence made by the said John Tennisson thereunto, and the
allegations on both side duely heard and examined, The
said John Tennisson alledgeing that he was ready and willing
to take his wife home and to afford her a reasonable mainte-
nance but withall openly and plainely acknowledgeing and
confessing that he could never respect her soe as to love
cherish countenance and maintaine her as a man ought to
Doe his wife, all wch being Duely considered by this board it
is this Day ordered.
That the said John Tennisson forthwith deliver unto his
said wife or her ordr one good bed and furniture called by the
name of her owne bed, all her weareing apparell, and allow
her yearely for the time to come three hundred pounds of
meate, three barrells of Corne and one Thousand pounds of
tobacco for and towards her maintenance dureing her naturall
life to be paid and allotted her in such part and place of this
Province as she shall Desire and appoint, and that the said
John Tennisson give good security for his true pformance of
what is hereby required of him before the Honble William
Digges Esqr who is hereby Authorised and empowered (at
such time as he shall think fitt) to summon before him the
said John Tennisson and take of him such security as aforesd
such as he shall approove of

Ordered that new Commissions issue to the severall
Counties of this Province according to a former ordr of this
board of the 5th Day of October last, and that the Clks of
each respective County Court be required forthwth to certifie
to the Clk of the Councill the names of their respective Comissrs
in ordr as they stand placed by their former Commission and
that the same be remitted by a speciall Messenger for that
