 320 Proceedings of the Council of Maryland, 1678-1679.
Lib. R. Propry to James Greene of St Maries County to summon John
Tennisson of the same County that all excuses sett apart he be
and psonally appeare before his Lspp and his Councill at the
City of St Maries the 2d Day of November next ensueing the
Date hereof to answer unto such matters and thinges as shall
be then and there objected against him at the Complaint of
his wife
Memdu: the 27th October 1680: a precept then directed to
the Sheriffe of Charles County or his Deputy by ordr of his
Lspp to summon Thomas Alckock, John Boyden and Edward
Rookewood that all excuses sett apart they be and psonally
appeare before his Lspp and his Councell at the City of St:
Maries on Tuesday the 23th Day of November next ensueing
the Date thereof to answer unto such matters and things as
shall then & there be proposed unto them, and that notice be
also given to Capt. Henry Aspinall of the same County to be
then and there present.

The Assembly prorogued till the 5th Day of Aprill 1681 :
and ordered that pclamacon issue accordingly vid Lib R
Concilis fo: 181.

p. 147 At a Councill held at the house of the Honble Philip Calvert
Esqr Chancelor on Tuesday the Second Day of November
Anno 1680 :

The Honble Philip Calvert Esqr Chancelor Present
William Digges Esqr

Then mett according to appointmt to lay the Publick Leavy
of this Province but the lists of Tytheables for St Maries Anne
Arrundell & Baltemore Countyes not being returned, could
not proceed therein but referred the laying thereof untill Tues-
day the 23thDay of this Instant November the first Day of the
next Provll Court, and ordered that notice thereof be given to
all psons therein concerned to have their Claimes ready to
putt in at the time appointed wch was accordingly done by
the following ordr of Councill affixed to the Court Doore at
the State house viz.

By the Lord Propry & Councill
November 2d 1680:
Maryland ss. Whereas at a Councill held at the State
house this second Day of November Anno 1680: according
to appointmt for the laying and Assessing of the publick leavy
of this Province this present yeare, his Lspp and his Councill
