Coppy of The ordr directed to Jacob Young was also
Inclosed in a Letter to Coll William Burges p ordr of this
board, viz.

Coll Burges
Sr Inclosed is Coppy of an ordr of Councill to Jacob
Young concerning a Conference with the Sinniquo Indians
desired by his Lspp to be had in yr County he being to
apply himself to yu upon their comeing downe to give speedy
advice thereof to his Lspp and Councill as by the said ordr you
will pceive, wch I was commanded to transmitt to yu for yr
regulation therein, it being the ordr of his Lspp & Councill to
Sr Yr humble Servtt
July 6th 1680 J Ll

His Lspp at the same time also Communicated a Letter he
lately recd: from Capta Brandt wch was read and is as foll: viz

Rtt Honble
Your Lspps Commands of the 22th instant shall observe as
relateing to the Lands about Pascattoway.
I have had severall meeteings with the Indians concerning
the last Articles of peace in hopes to have sent yr Lspp a Brev-
iat of thm but cannot find any they have, I have had a sight
of all their Papers but not one tending thereto. The King of
Mattawoman shews me a meddall in token of your Lspps
ffriendshipp to him, he beginns now to be in feare of the Sus-
quehannohs and Sinniquo and prtends want of Armes and
Ammunition, he intends speedily to make his addresses to
your Lspp. I have this Day received Intelligence from Thomas
Baker that the Pascattoway Indians sending their scoutes out
Daily have discovered the Enemy and is in some doubt they
will be fowle of them before their ffort is finished. I have
nothing more to add but the tender of my due Obedience
