Depositions before goeing but denyes all that he stands
therein charged with, saies that he cannot very well remem-
ber all his Company nor any of the discourse that passed
betweene them that night, but that Capt Coode the next
morning asked him smileingly if he did remember what he
said over night to wch he made answer that he did not neither
did as he now saieth but denyes all that is alleadged agt him,
and that he had any words of anger with Rosewell at all
neither was ever any such thing in agitation (as he is charged
with to have uttered) as he knowes, and therefore conceives
there may be malice in the Information.
He is again Committed into the custody of the Sheriff of
St Maries County to be proceeded agt upon his tryall at the
Prov" Court.
At wch tryall the severall Evidences for his Lspp: against the
Prisonr aforementioned and others whose names are not
before particularised concerning the premisses were bound to
appeare and give Evidence to the Court and Jury in this
Behalf.

At wch time came and made complaint to his Lspp: and his
Councill, One of the Indian Kings at Choptank named
Ababsco, that One Thomas Harper of Dorchester County an
English man had by force taken from him his Gunn refuseing
to make restitution of the same.
Whereupon an ordr is directed to the Sheriff of that County
commanding him to make delivery of the said Gunn and to
take bond of the said Harper for his good behavior and his
appeareance at the next Provll Court and is as foll, (viz)

By the Lord Propry & Councill
Whereas Ababco hath made complaint that one Thomas
Harper of Dorchester County hath violently taken from him
a gunn, and the same in his possession doth keepe, and refuse
to returne without any just ground or reason therefore
Ordered that the Sher. of the same County doe upon Sight
hereof cause the said Harper to make delivery of the said
