that if the Emperor or any of his great men would come to
the Governors on Munday next the 17th instant, they should
there receive an answer.

Whereas the last Generall Assembly begun and held at the
Citty of Saint Maryes the Twentieth day of October last past
was Prorogued untill the second Tuesday in May next Ensue-
ing And was for divers good Causes and Consideracons
relateing to the state and welfare of this our Province we
have by and with the advice and Consent of our Councell
determined and Ordained And we doe hereby fully Resolve

determine and Ordaine that the said Generall Assembly be
Prorogued untill the last Tuesday in September next ensue-
ing the date hereof And we doe hereby will and require as
also strictly Charge and Com and all and singuler the Sheriffs
of this Our Province forthwith upon receipt hereof to make
Publick Proclamacon hereof in the most Publick and Conve-
nient places within their Respective Countys And to give
notice to all and singular the delegates and deputies by the
ffreemen of their County already Elected or for that purpose
to be Elected that (all Excuses sett apart) they and every of
the said Delegates Come and personally appeare at the said
Citty of Saint Marys On the said last Tuesday in September
next Ensueing to doe and Consent to these things which then
and there by the favour of God shall happen to be Ordained
by us by and with the advice and Consent of Our great Coun-
cell of this Our Province Concerning the state and welfare of
this Our Province As also to give notice to such of our Coun-
cell as Inhabitt within their Respective Countyes that (all
Excuses sett apart) they alsoe be and appeare att the day and
place aforesaid to the End and purpose aforesaid Given att
Our Citty of Saint Maryes Under the Great seale of our said
Province of Maryland the ffourteenth day of March in the
fourth yeare of our Dominion &c Anoq Domi. 1678
