234 Proceedings of the Council of Maryland, 1678-1679.
Lib. R. that we are and ever have been true Leigeman to Our
Soveraign Lord the King. We have Signed it with Our
hands and humbly pray his sd Lspp: that he will ordr his Lspps:
Chancellor for this Province to publish this Declaration undr
the greate Seale of this Province that full ffaith and Creditt may
be given to it in England.

The following Ordrs then issued according to the ordr of
Councell yesterday directed to James Smallwood of Charles
County: viz:

March 10th 1678: By the Lord Propry & Councell.
You are hereby willed and Required upon Sight hereof to
goe to the Piscattoway ffort and to acquaint the Emperor and
his greate men that his Lspp the Lord Propry & his Councell
being informed that there is an Indian lately come from the
Sinniquas and now in the Pascattoway ffort have a Desire to
speake with him, and in ordr thereunto will be at Governor

p. 74 Notleys house on Monday next the Seaventeenth instant
where the said Indian is also Desired to be at the time
appointed.

Charles County, J Llewellin Cl. Consil:
These

give notice to Thomas Baker of yr County that he give his
attendance at Governor Notleys house on Monday next the
Seaventeenth instant if he be capable of comeing thither, if
not then yu are to give the like notice to Major William
Boareman of St Maries County.
