command all and singular Our Inhabitants of our said Prov-
ince haveing in their possion any Gunns, Armes, provisions,
horses, bridles saddles or other things whatsoever that have
at any time heretofore been presStd for the Countreys Service,
that they make knowne the same to the Comissrs of the
County Court where they live at the next Court to be holden
after Publication hereof To the End that such of them as have
already been satisfied & paid for out of the Publick Leavy
may be by the said Comissrs secured and reserved onely for
the Countreys Service, and that such as have not been duely
paid for and Satisfied may be returned to their right Owners.
An Accot whereof the Comissrs of our respective County
Courts are (in convenient time & from time to time when
and as often as they shall make any Discovery of any such
Gunns Armes &ca as aforesaid) to rendr unto us or Our Ltt
Generall or Chief Governor for the time being. Whereof all
persons concerned are to take due notice as they will answer
the Contrary at their perill. Witness our self at Our City of
St Maries Given undr our greate Seale of our sd Province
the Eighth Day of January in the fourth yeare of Our
Dominion &ca Annoq Domini 1678:
Was then taken into consideration the prsent Estate of
affaires with the Indians as also all matters passed betweene
the Governor & Councell and the Pascattoway Indians since
the 9th Day of August last touching the murdr committed on
Daniel Conningham and his family at the head of Pottuxen
River the third of Augt last. The severall Orders of Councell
& other papers relateing thereunto were also read. Where-
upon it was proposed by the Rtt Honble Lord Propry to his
Councell what Expedient were best to be taken for obteining
the Delivery up of the murderers.
Wch being considered by the Councell they are of Opinion
& Doe advise that the Lord Propry send for the Emperor and

great men of Pascattoway to Manahowickes Neck at such
time as his Lordshipp shall think fitt to appoint whereof
notice is to be given by his Lordshipp or his Governor to
the Councell who are also then at the place aforesaid to
give their attendance. That then his Lordshipp will please
to lett the Emperor and greate men know that he hath sent
for them on purpose to see them & speake with them accord-
ing to his Message sent them p Capt Brandt, & to put them
in mind that when his Lordshipp departed this Province they
gave him great assurance of their ffriendshipp to himself and
the people of his Province that they had also the same assur-
ances from him in behalf of himself and the English undr his
Governmt that now he was heartily glad to see them & did
