[Lands in Somerset County.]
By the Governor

Whereas William Stevens of Somersett County hath
humbly prayed that those psons of Somersett County that
have Patients to sue out according to his Ldpps Declaracon in
June Anno 1075: wcn time therein limited is now expired and
yett there being some psons in the said County that have
occasion of his Ldpps grace and favour therein Expressed but
were prevented attending the Secrys Office by reason of the
late troubles with the Indians in those pts and (since that is
happily blowne over) other urgent occasions in their cropps
hindering also ffor the better Encourageing the settling of the

to the honble Sea side & other pts of the said County I doe
Col. Wm hereby ordr that the Inhabitants of the said
Calvert County shall have Eight moneths time com-

Dominion of the Rtt Honble Charles over Maryland &ca Annoq

And it was the Opinion of the Councell upon further con-
sideration that the like favor should in generall tearmes be
granted to all singular the Inhabitants of this Province as well
as to those of Somersett County. Whereupon issued forth the
following Proclama viz.

Whereas the Rtt Honble the Lord Propry of this Province by
his Gracious Proclama. beareing Date the third day of June in
the first yeare of his Ldpps Dominion &c. Annoq Domi 1676
by the advice of his Ldpps Councell did Publish Proclame and
Declare that his said Ldpp would take noe advantage of any
Lapse of time either in proving of Rights returning of Certifi-
cates or Demanding grants or Patients for any Land due to
any Adventurer or Planter within this Province, provided such
right Title and claime to any such Lands be prooved and
