A Proclamacon
Whereas the severall Clerkes of the respective Countyes
within this Province have formerly bin very negligent in their
severall Offices, by omitting (contrary to the duty of their
places & the Lawes of this Province) to transmitt into the
Secretaryes Office all such Alienacon of lands as are entred
upon Record on the Severall County Court bookes, not only
to the great damage & prejudice of his Lordpp the Lord
Propry of this Province in his rents & ffines for Alienacon, but
also to the great confusion in the Rent Rolls of the respective
Countyes, so that his Lordpp cannot many tymes come to the
knowledge of the tenants by which meanes in tyme itt may
worke a greater mischief if previous remedy be not applyed
These are therefore (by & with the advice consent & appro-
bacon of his Lordpps Councell) to will require & comand the
respective Justices of peace in each respective County imedi-
