imediately to apprehend them the said Davyes Gent Hasle-
ham & Pate hereby promiseing two thousand pounds of
tobacco by the head as a reward to all or any persons that
shall apprehend the said Davyes Gent Hasleham & Pate or
any One of them And fforasmuch as there were divers other
of the good people of this province seduced & perswaded to
joyne with the said Davyes Gent Hasleham & Pate at the
time & place aforesaid Wee doe hereby publish & proclaime
a Generall pardon of the said mutiny & Sedition to all per-
sons then & there assembled other then the said Davyes
Gent Hasleham and Pateprovided heor they doewithin fourteen
dayes from the date hereof come to the Deputy Leivtenant of
this province some One of his Lopps Councell for this Prov-
ince or some One justice of Peace within the County where
he or they liveth & submitt him or themselves & deliver in his
or their Armes & in the interim forbeare all further Acts of
Hostility mutiny or sedition. Given at the Mill in Hunting
Creeke under the great Seale of this Province of Maryland
this fourth day of September in the ffirst yeare of his Lopps
Dominion Annoq Dom 1676.

Esqr our Chancellor of our said Province, our deare Cousin
Wm Calvert Esqr our Councellor and Principall Secretary of
our said Province, our deare Cousin Baker Brooke Esqr our
Councellor & Surveyr Genll of our said Province our trusty &
welbeloved Councellor Samuell Chew Esqr our trusty & welbe-
loved Councellor Thomas Taillor Esqr our trusty & wellbe-
loved Henry Coursey Esqr Greeting Know ye that we have
Assigned you or any foure or more of you (of whom you the
said Philip Calvert & Wm Calvert are allwayes to be one) our
Judge to Enquire by the Oaths of twelve good & lawfull men
of this Province & by such other wayes & meanes by which
the truth of the matter may more plainly appeare & to you
shall seem best & shall be within yor power of all such Trea-
sons Misprisions of Treason against his most sacred Matie the
King of England our dread Sovereigne, Insurrections, Rebel-
lions, Mutinyes & Seditions, Burglaryes, unlawfull meetings
& speaking of words against us or our Dominion over this
Province As also of the accessaryes to the same within this
Province by whomsoever & whensoever done perpetrated or
comitted, & by whom, against whom, when, how, & in what
