aforesaid (after my decease as aforesaid) and all the severall
powers & authorities aforesaid in these prsents mentioned and
to me given as aforesaid in as full and ample manner as I
my Selfe can and may doe by virtue of the severall Comis-
sions Orders Instructions and Authorityes to mee by his said
Lopp Charles Lord and Propry given and granted as aforesaid
or by Virtue of any other Comission from his Lopp whatsoever.
And the said Thomas Notley the said Office and Offices of
Goverment to exercise and execute as aforesaid (after my
decease as aforesaid) for so long and untill such time as his
said Lopp Charles Lord Baltemore shall nominate and appoint
some other person or persons to execute the same as afore-
said. Given under my hand & Seale at Armes this Seaven
& twentith day of July in the first yeare of the Dominion of
Charles Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Provinces of
Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c. Annoq
Dom. 1676:
Sealed Signed and delivered Jesse Wharton (sealed)
in the presence of us.

Then was the said Thomas Notley Gentleman Sworne
Deputy Leivtent and Deputy Governour as aforesaid and One
of his Lopps Privy Councell.

Ordered that there be a Comission granted unto Leivtenant
John Peerce to be Capt of the Guard of the house at Matta-
penny Sewall and that he have six horsemen and two files of
ffoott under his Comand with a Sergeant and a Corporall,
which said Comission issued the fifth day of this instant
August.

Ordered that Capt Henry Darnall be desired to Suffer John
Peerce his Leivtenant to take Out of his troop six such horse
as he shall like off, to Guard his Lopps house at Mattapenny
Sewell, untill further Order from the Deputy Leivtenant &
Councell

The Deputy Governour and Councell thinke fitt that by
reason accomodation cannot be had to accomodate them and
the Delegates at the laying the Levy in October next at John
GriggSts and they being Satisfied that by the Law the said
Delegates are to be allowed their expences dureing the terme
they shall attend at St Maries and not else where at the lay-
ing of the Levy at the time aforesaid, Doe order and appoint
that the Councell and Delegates meet at the Citty of St Maries
for the purpose aforesaid, any writs to the same Delegates
heretofore sent to meet at John Griggs's notwithstanding.
