expressed as his said Lopp himselfe might lawfully doe being
personally present in the said Province. And also full power
and authority to direct and appoint for his said Lopp and in his
name to passe under the great Seale of the said Province
such grant and grants of such proportion and proportions of
land within the said province to such person or persons and
for such Estate and estates and with such priviledges and
immunityes and under such Conditions as were formerly by
his Lopps said deceased ffather directed, or which his Lopp
should from time to time hereafter direct by any warrant or
warrts under his hand and Seale at Armes so as the said war-
rant & warrants be duly entered and registred and the said
lands duly Surveyed and the Surveyes thereof returned and
all and every the necessary rules Orders circumstances here-
tofore by his Lopps said deceased ffather given or appointed in
relation to the Surveying of such Lands and to the entrying
registring and attesting the Surveys thereof, and all necessary
circumstances touching such grants surveys and warrants
heretofore by his Lopps said deceased ffather given and
appointed be first duly observed and performed. Willing
and thereby requireing that all the abovementioned powers
and authorityes by those presents given and granted to his
Lopps said Deare Sonn should be from time to time (as Occa-
sion should require) exercised performed and executed for his
Lopps said Deare Sonn (by reason of his tender yeares) by me
the said Jesse Wharton whom by those presents his Lopp did
constitute authorize and appoint his Deputy Leivtenant and
Deputy Governour under his said Deare Sonn dureing his
Lopps absence Out of the said Province or untill his Lopp or his
heirs should signifie his or their pleasures to the contrary.
Thereby giveing and granting unto me the said Jesse Wharton
the Custody Goverment and Comand of his Lopps said prov-
ince as his Lopps Deputy Leivtenant and Deputy Governour
under his said deare Sonn dureing his Lopps said absence.
And also by those presents impowering me the said Jesse
Wharton as his Deputy under his said deare Sonn to exercise
and execute all the Severall powers and authorityes above-
mentioned Willing and by those presents requireing me the
said Jesse Wharton to advise as there should be Occasion
with those who already are or hereafter shall be of his Lopps
Councell here for the time being upon all emergent Occasions
touching concerning or relateing unto the good Goverment 		Lib. R. R.
of the said Province and people here As by the said Comission
& Instrument may more fully and at large appeare. And
whereas also his said Lopp Charles Lord Baltemore by one
other Comission under the great Seale of the said Province
beareing date the Sevententh day of June in the said first 		p. 91
