being personally present in the said Province. And also for
his said Lopp and in his name and as often as his said Deputy
shall ffind it necessary from time to time to call assemble and
Sumon any Generall Assembly or Generall Assemblies of the
ffreemen of the said province or of their Deputyes or Dele-
gates for the giveing of the advice assent and approbation of
the ffreemen of the said province to such Lawes and acts as
shall be by his Lopp at any time Ordained made and enacted
and under his Lopps Seale published and unto which the advise
assent and approbation of the ffreemen of the said Province
shall be at any time necessary and requisite, and the said
Generall Assembly and Assemblyes from time to time
called assembled and sumoned or to be called assembled
or summoned from time to time when and as often as his
said Deputy shall judge it necessary in the name of his
Lopp to prorogue or otherwise to dissolve at his said Deputyes
pleasure. And likewise for his said Lopp and in his name and
in his absence from his Lopps said province to Ordaine make
and Enact by and with the advice assent and approbation of
any such Assembly or Assemblyes so called assembled or
summoned as aforesaid to be of force untill his said Lopp or
his heirs or assignes Lord and Proprietary or Lords and Pro-
prietaryes of the said Province shall declare and publish or
cause to be declared or published within the said province his
their or some of their particular dissent or dissents disagree-
ment or disagreements to the same under his their or some
of their Seale or Seales, So as the said Lawes and Acts so to
be Ordained made and enacted be consonant to reason and
be not repugnant or contrary but as neare as reasonably may
be agreeable to the Lawes Statuts and Customes of the King-
dome of England, and so as the Same be no wayes repugnant
unto or destructive of his Lopps Rights priviledges or jurisdic-
tions or to the disinherizon of his Lopp his heirs or assignes
Lords and Proprietaryes of the said Province or contrary to
his Lopps or their power Goverment or Dominion, or contra-
dictory to a certaine Act of Assembly heretofore made in the
ninetenth yeare of the Dominion of Cecilius his Lopps deceased

dred and fifty intituled An Act concerning Religion And his
said Lopp did likewise further give and grant unto his said
Deare Sonn dureing the time of his exercise of the said
Office aforesaid full power and authority from time to time
by his Deputy to make Constitute and Ordaine and publish in
his Lopps name such wholsome reasonable and profitable Ordi-
nances Edicts and Proclamations within the said Province for
the better Governing the people within the said province and
with such reasonable paines and penaltyes to be therein
