Being first Lieutt In the Company of Militia refered to by
the within Petition At the request of said Caleb Haley I do
hereby Certify that he received his hurt when stationed at
Annapolis and on Duty
Oct. 25th 1776. Richard Wootton.

The Above Expreations by my first Leaft. I Do Sertiphi to
be Jest and truth being I was Capt of the said Companey
under Duty out of the Twenty fifth battalion of Amaricka
Order' d by our Convention and I Do sertifie that this Caleb
Haley Was under Duty When he Receiv'd his hurt and more-
over I think he is Deserving of sum Assetance from the said
battalion if the Gentlemen think Proper

of the Privates who went to Annapolis, the within Petitioner
Reccd a hurt in the night as he (with others) went to Relieve
the Guards. Thos Williams

Annapolis October 25th 1776.
Gent. Agreable to your order I have cald up the men
that's now here under my command and have made them
acquainted with the resolve of Convention respecting the
enrollment of the Companys of Artillery. 25 of them tells me
they will inlist under the resolve and from the disposition of
many others I think they will in a little time come into the

Fell's Point October 25th 1776.
Gent: I received a line from you requiring me to make
tents for Captains Holland and Harris's company of Harford
County, but as I cannot get canvas here must refer to you for
the procuring the same if to be had at Annapolis. I shall be
always proud to obey any orders that I may receive from
your Honourable Board.
I am Gent your most obedt Servt
William Johnson.
