Ordered That the Treasurer of the Western Shore pay to
M^r Adrien Lemaistre two hundred Pounds Currency for

Medicine.
Ordered That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas Stone
Esq^r one hundred and fifty Pounds to defray the Expences of
his Deputation to the Congress.
Adjourned till next Day 9 O'Clock.

To Mr. Daniel Bowley (Philadelphia)
Sir.
We have given the Bearer hereof M^r William Houston an
Order on Capt. Tibbett for 2OOO^lb Powder and all the small
Arms with the Accoutrements thereto belonging, that have
been imported for this Province in the Brig Wild Dick which
we desire you will have complied with, and any Assistance that
M^r Houston may want you'll please to give him, in a few days
you will have our full Directions respecting the other Goods
imported for the Province in the said Brig. In the mean time
we would have you purchase for Acc^t of the Province all the
private Adventures of Powder imported in the said Vessel at
such prices as our Delegates in Congress may advise whom
we desire you will consult thereon and send the same to Bal-
timore Town in the safest and most expeditious Manner you
can.

Ship Defence
Sir.
The spirited and prudent Conduct which you manifested in
repelling the late hostile Attack on the Persons and Properties
of your Fellow-Citizens and defeating the Designs and At-
tempts of our Invaders, give us real Satisfaction and entitle
you to our Thanks; We therefore with Pleasure return them
to you, and desire you will also communicate them to the
Volunteers that accompanied you and the Officers and Men
under your Command, as our acknowledgements are likewise
due to their Gallantry.
