papers I humbly desire to know your opinion what is best to
be done concerning them our Eyes are upon your honr as the
onely person left wee can trust and if you please to Espouse
the protestant interest the whole Country you may be assured
will faithfully stand by you; What ever you doe Resolve on
in this greate affaire must be sodaine and expeditious wee
desire not any injury should be done them in their persons or
estates, but rather ready obedience to them in all things pro-
vided they show themselves ready to defend the Country
against the Comon Enemy if they should not wee must then
and now doe Resolve unanimously to do the best wee can to
secure our selves against them and Indians also, I beseech
your honr to send us a speedy answer and agreeable to the
desires of us all Which will highly oblige the whole multitude

I recd yours just now by Mr Keens servant, am sorry there
should be any jealousies among the people This comes
cheifly to advise you that I am now goeing myselfe in Capt
Whartons boate that brought your Letter to the Council And
then doe not question but to give you better satisfaction then
probably I may be able to doe by writing when I am person-
ally with you soe not to deteyne the messenger I onely now
