The Oathes to be taken instead of the Oathes of Allegiance
and supremacy.

I. A. B. Do sincerely promise and swear that I will be faith-
full and bear true allegiance to their Majesties King William
and Queen Mary so help me God.

I. A. B: swear that I do from my heart abhor detest and
adjoure as impious and hereticall that damnable Doctrine and
Position that Princes excommunicated or deprived by the
Pope or any authority of the See of Rome may be deposed or
Murthered by their subjects or any other whatsoever And I do
declare that no Forreign Prince, Person, Prelate, State or
Potentate hath or ought to have any jurisdiction, Power, supe-
riority, preheminence or Authority, Ecclesiastical or Spiritual
within this Realm, So help me God.

Maryland ss A proclamacon
Whereas the generall Assembly of this province at the last
Generall Assembly held at the City of St Maries was pro-
rogued untill the second tuesday in Aprill next ensueing And
for that noe occassion relateing to the state or welfare of this
province at present offers That requires the sitting of the said
Generall Assembly Upon the said second Tuesday in Aprill
next Wee the said Deputy Governers with the Advice of his
Lordsps Council have 'thought fit to prorogue and the said
Assembly is hereby prorogued accordingly untill the Laste
Tuesday in October next next ensueing the date of these pres-
ents And the severall and respective sheriffs of this province are
hereby strictly charged and comanded to make publique proc-
lamacon hereof in the most publique places of their Counties
And give notice to the Deptie and Delegates of the severall

and respective Counties That all excuses set apart they and
every of them be and personally appeare at the city of St
Maries Upon the said Last Tuesday in October next then and
there to doe and consent to such things which shall by the
favour of God happen there to be ordained and enacted
Given etc the 19th of March 1688.

Rebecca Peyton that lived at Mr Lynes appeareth at this
Board to make complaint against Mr lames Mackewen and
others The Council told her that if she had any pretence for her
