Lordsp wherein your Lordsp may do as to your Lordsp shall
seeme meete.
Herewith may it please your Lordship wee send the Coppy
of a proclamacon issued as your Lordsp will find by .which wee
have thought fit to call in all the publick Armes whereby to fix
and make them fit for service And upon occassion to distribute
the same into such hands as shall faithfully serve the King
your Lordsp and the Country Wee herewith also send your
Lordsp a Coppy of a letter sent us by the Lord Howard of
Effingham and our Answer thereunto hopeing that what wee
have done therein may noe waies be displeasing to your
Lordsp It being but to show the Readinesse of the Govern-
ment to joyne with the Governmt of Virga in any thing that
may tend to his Matie service.
As to yr Lordsps course of Iudicature Iustice therein is Ad-
ministered wee hope to the content of all men being morally
sure thereby none can have just cause to Complaine.
And for the Governmt in Generall blessed be God all things

those troubles with you in England which doth not altogether
dismay us. First for that your Lordsp thereby had the oppor-
tunity to show the greatness of your soul by that Heroick Act
of and in Raising a troop for his Majties service secondly for
that our Confidence in the Almighty is such as that wee noe
wayes doubt but that all this is permitted by heaven for the
greater Glory of God and Encrease of power and honr to the
King and of welfare and happines to your Lordsp All which
that God may bring to passe is the hearty prayer of

In pursuance to yor Lordsps most acceptable of 14th of Ianu-
ary last and the honble the presidents answer thereunto of the
23rd of the same These are to acquaint your Lordsp That there
now in this province six sayle of shipps Ready to part for
England of whome wee shall take such Care as that they shall
fall downe to poynt Comfort the place appoynted for Ren-
devouz humbly praying your Lordps account per this Express
of what number of shipps there are in that Governr Ready to
sayle to the end wee may the sooner dispatch those and for-
ward others as by your Lordsps answer shall be found most
Convenient To which if yr Lordsp please to add your Lordsps
latest accompt of affaires in England your Lordsp will highly
oblige us for that wee have not had any shipping lately arrived
that are
from Mattapany the Rt honble
