three Years for the same Debt I owed Before I made that
Bargain with Thomas Hinton your petitioner was so ignorant
that Hinton Perswaded me that I should not tell the Iustices
before whom the Land was made over nothing of Our Bar-
gain but that he bought it, Your Petitioner never received
any thing for it but your humble Petitioner did through ignor-
ance let the said Hinton have all upon that Condition that the
plantation shou'd maintain her but the Debt that your Peti-

bought of George Hawes & after the said Servant was
Seasoned the said Hinton got him away Connivingly these
and many other Grievances that appear before the honble
Bench Your humble Petitioner desires that you will take it
into your Considerations as that your humble Petitioner may
enjoy what is her own & your Petitioner shall be duly Bound
to pray for your Excellency & the honourable Bench
Your humble Petitioner was owing other Debts & to defraud
the Creditors Hinton told me if I would go along with him he
would get of my Debts reasonably & so I made all over to
him & went along with him & he was to give me from under
his hand that I should have the mooveables and plantation for
my Life but when he got Possession I Could neither get plan-
tation moveables nor nothing from under his hand for my
own for he told me that his word was as good as his Bond
the place he sent me was Caecil County but at my Return

Liber K.

cou'd get nothing nor my Debts paid but do here suffer thro'
his Conniving doings in my absence my husband & he went
to Law & he scared my husband away by reason he the said
Hinton had all my Writings & at my Return he told me my
husband had all my moveables, but it is known that my hus-
band had nothing my husband Came & gave me possession
again of the house but Hinton Came & turned me out of
doors & Hinton told me that he had from under my hand &
I should have nothing to do there I went in two or three
times & still I was forced out with a Bloody Mouth & Nose
he did his endeavour to keep me from the Sheriffs hands
because the World should not see his Conniving doings but
at last was taken & still remain a prisoner, but God in his due
time will release me Your humble Petitioner desires your
Excllcy & Honours to take it into your Christian Considera-
