Master & come to any of the Jndian Towns within the Terri-
tory of the said Tom Calvert and his Subjects that they shall
be Bound to apprehend the said Fugitives & bring them to
the next English plantation to be conveyed to their Masters &
in Case any Indian aforesaid shall convey or assist any such
Fugitives in their Flight out of this Province that he shall
make the respective Master or Mistress of such Servants or
slaves such satisfaction as an English man ought to do in the
like case
7 That the said King shall not make any new peace with
our Enemys nor shall make war without the Consent of the
Governor of this Province for the time being
8 In Case the said Tom Calvert or any Indian Subject to
him shall kill any Indians or any other in peace & Amity with
their Majestys it shall be deemed as great an Offence as kill-
ing an Englishman

9 That neither the said King nor any of the Indians Subject
to him do at any time hereafter keep harbour or Entertain
among them or within their Fort or Town any Foreign or
Strange Indians or know or discover any such to appear or
come into this Province without giving timely & all possible
speedy notice thereof to his Excellency the Govr or some
Magistrate or other Officer or person of note by whom the
same may be Communicated with all Expedition to the said
Govr or Govr of this Province for the time being for his advice
and directions therein
10 That as a further testimony of their League peace &
Friendship with their Majestys and as they expect protection
from them & their Government here there be yearly paid by
the said King as a tribute to their said Majestys an Indian
Bow & two Arrows to be delivered to his Excellency the Govr
or to the Governor for the time being at his Residence where-
soever the same shall happen to be on the first tuesday in
April Successively in every year
11 It is required & the said King for himself & the Indians
under him doth covenant to make such reparation & Satisfac-
tion to Collo Nehemiah Blakiston for an Injury by them lately
done as Mr Iohn Bayne & Mr Wm Blakiston thereunto espe-
cially appointed upon full hearing and examination into the
matter shall award & adjudge
12 In Conformation of the premises his Excellency the Gov-
ernor & likewise the King himself mutually sign seal & Con-
sent to the foregoing Articles in the presence of their Maj-
estys Council & the great men of the sd King then present
the day & Year first above mentioned
