for conferring the place of Attorney Generall of Maryland
upon Mr Charles Carroll which followes in these words.

C: Baltemore
Charles absolute Lord and Propty of the Province of Mary-
land and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c. To our Trusty
and wellbeloved our President and Council of our Province of
Maryland Greeting Know yee that wee reposeing speciall
Trust and Confidence in our trusty and welbeloved Charles
Carroll of the Inner Temple London Have made constituted
and appoynted and by these presents doe make constitute
and appoynt him the said Charles Carroll our Attorney Gen-
erall for and throughout our said Province of Maryland For
us and in our name to prosecute and defend all and all manner
of suites and accons whatsoever any waies relateing to us or
our Interest in the said Province with a yearly allowance or
sallery of Twelve thousand pounds of Tobacco to be payd
unto and received by him the said Charles Carroll from our
Cheife Governor or Governors Receiver Generall or Receivers
Generalls for the time being over and above all manner of
Fees Perquisites and advantages whatsoever which doe belong
or ought to belong unto the said place in as large and ample
manner as any Attorney Generall of the said Province hitherto
received or ought to have received the same. The said
Charles Carroll to continue and be our Attorney Generall in
manner as aforesaid for and during his good behaviour in and
dilligent and carefull mannagement of the said Imployment
Given under our hand and Greater Seale at Armes This
Eighteenth day of July. In the Thirteenth yeare of our
dominion over our said Province of Maryland Anno domini
1688.

Ordered That the severall Negroes this last provinciall
Court tryed and condemned and (upon the happy newes of the
birth of the young prince) lately pardoned be returned to their
severall masters. Their masters paying and discharging their
just Fees, and the said Negroes to serve their said masters as
slaves and as if they had never beene condemned and par-
doned as aforesaid.

Ordered That Richard Mekins the Elder of Dorchester
restore give or pay to John Browne all such goods and Co-
modities that are conteyned and menconed in the Endictment
against Mekins the sonne of the said William.

Also that William Thomas Restore to one Broadhurst the
goods menconed in the Endictment against him or the value
thereof.
