mentioned did grant unto William Parrot the Assignee of
George Bussey all that parcell of Land formerly surveyed for
the said Bussey called Popinjay on the North Side of Pottuxen
River in the freshes containing and laid out for 500 acres
more or less And whereas afterwards the said William Parrot
by his last will and Testament did give & bequeath unto
Henry Parrot his Son all the said parcell of Land aforemen-
tioned to him and his heirs for ever Now afterwd the said
Henry Parrot seing occasion for a valuable consideration did
bargain and sell the aforesaid tract of Land unto the abovesd
Samuel Chew his heirs & Assigns for ever as by a certain
Deed more at large appea/s which when the said Samuel
Invested withall he the said Samuel out of his Fatherly tender
Love and affection towards his Children by his Last will and
Testament thought convenient to equally give and dispose of
the abovesd tract of Land unto these four Children hereafter
mentioned, (vizt Wm Chew, Benjamin, John and Caleb
Now may it please your Excellencys and your Honours in
Councill sitting the abovesaid Orphans being sensible that
they are much infringed and incroached upon by the Neigh-
bourhood Wherefore your Petitioners humbly pray your
Excllcys & the rest of your Honours grave and sage Iudgments
in the premises that an order of Councill may pass and that a
special warrt of Resurvey may forthwith be directed unto Mr
Edward Batson the Surveyor of Calvert County that he
immediately Resurvey the abovesaid tract of Land for the

said Orphans in the presence of a Iury of the Neighbourhood
to be by the Sheriff of the said County thereunto impanelled
and sworn
And your Petitioner as in duty bound
shall ever pray

Ordered that warrant of Resurvey issue forth of the land
Office in manner and form as is prayed.

To his Excellency the Governr and his honble Councill
The humble Petition of William Taylor
Sheweth
That your Petitioner being employd as publick Post in this
Province and accordingly hath served upon all publick affairs
and maintained and kept Horses at his own charge for that
purpose hitherto for the time of seven months, therefore
humbly prays allowance for the same and your Honours result
whither your Petitioner may continue in his Office in the same
employ or not
