At the Motion and humble request of Iohn LLlewellin the
Clerk of the Councill, it is ordered that he prepare a table or
catalogue of fees Usually incident to his Office for the perusall
of this Board and that for his Sallary he be allowed as formerly
agreed on and proposed by his Excellency
Was then produced and read to the Board the following
Deposition of Iohn Lee concerning the tumultuous transac-
tions at Talbot Count Court (vizt)

The Deposition of Iohn Lee of Talbot County in the Prov-
ince of Maryland aged about one or two and twenty Years
being sworn saith That on Wednesday at night being at the
Court in Talbot County it being then Ianuary Court Anno
1691/2 Mr Hinds, and Mr Earle, and Mr Thomas Smith, and
Mr Lillingston and others in Company was not Willing that he
should leave them, but some of the Company brought Mr
Hinds Horse, and tyed him to the bar in the Court House and
after that the said Mr Thomas Smith with Mr Samuel Withers
the Sheriff of Talbot County and another whom your Depo-
nent thinks was Mr Richard Bennet put themselves in the
Pillory and because Mr Hinds was Drunk, the said Samuel
Withers and the other person put the said Hinds his Still-
yards in the room and stead of the said Hinds, and further
your Deponent saith not
Sworn before me this 5th day of Septr 1692 Ino Lee.

Memd:
As to what words was spoken by Mr Francis Perkens Mer-
chant of London on the 28th day of April at London Town in
Ann Arundell County 1692 in the hearing of us whose names
are underwritten (vizt) The said Perkins saith that he was

on board Captain Iohn Browns Ship in Plymouth, when Capt
Coad came on Board the said ship, and the said Captain
Coad enquired of the said Browne for one Benjamin Ricand
who he expected to find there bound for Maryland, but the
said Brown did tell him no such Person was there, whereupon
the said Captain Coad desired the said Browne to permit him
a Passage aboard the Ship Baily Mr Perry Browns Ship riding
in the same harbour, and the said Coad going on Board the
said ship with Captain Iohn Browne where the said Coad met
with the said Benjamin Ricand, and there delivered unto him
a Pacquet of Letters directed to this Province of Maryland for
