Thomas Smith came into the Commissioners Room and asked
them by what Authority they held Court, the Informant asked
him how he dare ask such a Question, but he denied that he
had said so Mr Edmunson being present and walking
cross the Room averred he did say so the Informant to the
best of his Remembrance called him Impudent fellow or such
like term, and commanded him out of the Room, the day fol-
lowing and the Court being over, the Informant having some
Business and coming to the Court House, he saw a great deal
of Victuals coming out of the Court House, and carrying into
the Feild and meeting with Mr Salter the man of the House
he asked the Informant if he would not go to Dinner with
them the Informant asked with whom, so the said Salter pres-
ently told him of the whole Gang but hearing by Mr Griffith
Iones and the said Salter what mad pranks they had played
the night before, the Informant refused and did not go
among them, for he was told they had been drinking all
Night, some of them had rid their Horses into the court
House, some in their Frolicks had put themselves into the
Pillory; and there they drank that day at the point till they
were so drunk that they fell together by the Ears and Michael
Earl Flung Ioseph Greene in the water and Lillingston fell to
cuffing Michael Earl &ca and that in their Frolicks they would
give a name to their Place of meeting, and Lillingston he said
it should be called the Convention, but others said no that
would be too Broad it should be called Lambeth Hall the
aforesaid Company continued in their Frolicks for the space
of four days or thereabouts

The foregoing containing chiefly Testimony by hear say is
at present waved and the said William Finney dismissed till
further occasion
Iohn Salter called in and Interrogotared in this matter
gives first an Accot of the Company present at the trans-
actions aforesaid vizt Mr Lillingston Mr William Cowsey,
Richard Macklin Ioseph Lambert Ioseph Greene Mr Iohn
Hinson Senr Michael Earle Mr Rich Bennet Thomas Hinds,

Liber K.

Iohn Lamb, Samuel Withers and Thomas Smith he likewise
gives a short Accot of the severall passages between them
which appearing to be very defective and short of the Infor-
mation given he is ordered to draw up in Writing the whole
Sum and Substance of what he knows thereof for the perusall
of this Board to which his Oath will be required
Ordered that Summons issue for Nicholas Clouds to appear
hereon Monday next, to testify the truth of his knowledge in
the premises Samuel Withers his Examination therein is also
