May it please your Excellency
The Account that I can give to your Excellency concerning

Mr Lillingston, and the transactions of him and his Complices
at a Court held in Talbot County the third Tuesday in Febru-
ary last is as followeth vizt that the said Mr Lillingston came
to court on Tuesday morning and taking an upper Room in
the court house, continued there untill Friday following during
which time he and his associates were Drinking, that Mr Fin-
ney and other Gentlemen of the Court being in Company
with Mr Lillingston it was demanded by some of his Company
by what Power or Authority they held a Court, that the Compy
that Mr Lillingston had were such Persons as were dissafected
to the presentGovernment,thatonThursday night following the
Court breaking up that Evening some of Mr Lillingstons Com-
pany leaving him went downe, and did put their heads into
the Pillory, and others took their Horses and rid into the
Court and did carry their Horses upon the Bench where the
Iustices usually set; the next day they said Mr Lillingston
and his Company, bespoke a dinner to be brought to the
Water Side, and a table to be there, were they did carouse
that day, and the Company would have a Name for their
Meeting what their meeting should be called by, and it was
answered a Convention Mr William Finney can give your Ex-
cellency a more larger Accot and also the names of the Persons
of that Society who is ready when your Excellency Requires.

The said Griffith Iones being called in and Interrogated in
the Premises having nothing further to say at Present then
what is contained in the foregoing Paper which being chiefly
by hear say more then of his own Certain knowledge, the
same is waved for this time and he Dismissed.
Mr William Finney called in and Examined gives in his
Testimony in Writing as follows Vizt

The Information of Mr William Finney of Talbot County
(Vizt)
Saith
That in February last Mr Iohn Lillingston in company with
Michael Earle, Ioseph Greene, Iohn Hinson, Thomas Smith,
Ioseph Lambert, and severall others, which the Informant
cannot remember, came to Talbot County Court during their
Setting and holding the said Court in the said month of Feb-
ruary and took a Room in the Court House over the Commis-
sioners Chambers one day during the said Court, the said
