Order for a 100 Barrells of Powder and 200 muskets for
Maryland.
The 15th October 1691.
Upon the Report of the Right Honble the Lords of the Com-
mittee for Trade & Plantations. It was this day ordered in
Councill that Sir Henry Goodrick Knt. and Barrt. Lieut. Gen-
erall and the principall Officers of their Majesties Ordnance
do cause to be provided and sent to Maryland One hundred
Barrells of Powder as of their Majesty's Bounty to that Colony
and also two hundred Muskets for their Majestie's service
there the value of which muskets is to be reinbursed to the
Office of the Ordnance out of the duty of one shilling per
hoggshead arising the last year in Maryland And it was
further ordered by their Lordshipps that the Governor of
Maryland be made accountable for the disposall of the said
Arms and Ammunition and that he recommend it to the As-
sembly there that the same or a greater quantity of Arms and
Amunition be alwaies continued in the Magazines of that
Province.

For Colonel Copley to have his part of the 2s per hoggshead
from Maryland.
The 15th October 1691.
The Right Honble the Lords of the Committee of Trade and
Plantations, having this day represented at the Board that
Colonel Lyonell Copley appointed by their Majesties to be
Governor of Maryland hath humbly prayed that in considera-
tion of his long attendance and great expence he has been at
in relation to that Government Her Majesty would be pleased
to direct that one moyety of the Duty of two shillings per
hoggshead of Tobacco, arising the last year in Maryland may
be allowed unto him and their Lordshipps taking notice that
there are Bills remitted from the convention of Maryland for
the sume of one Thousand seventy one pounds sixteen shil-
lings and twopsnce for the last years duty in Maryland and
the 14d per Tun, the proceed whereof is ordered by the Lords
Commissioners of the Treasury to be paid to the Receiver
Generall of the customs of which sume two hundred seaventy
three pounds or thereabouts may be due for the 14d per Tun
payable to the Lord Baltemore and that by the instructions to
Colonel Copley one fourth part of this Revenue accrewing to
their Majesties is to be applied towards the buying of Armes
and Amunition. It is thereupon this day ordered by their
Lordshipps according to the Opinion of the said Committee
for Trade that six hundred pounds part of the said one
thousand seventy one pounds sixteen shillings and twopence
