unto him, And their Lordshipps taking notice that there are
Bills remitted from the convention of Maryland for the sume
of one thousand and seaventy one pounds, sixteen shillings
and two pence for the last year's duty in Maryland and the
Fourteen pence per Tun, the proceed whereof is ordered by
the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury to be paid unto the
Receiver Generall of the Customs of which sume Two hun-
dred seaventy three pounds or there abouts may be due for
the Fourteen pence per Tun payable to the Lord Baltemore,
And that by the Instructions to Colonel Copley, one fourth
part of this Revenue accruing to their Majesties is to be
applied towards the buying of Arms and Amunition. Their
Lordshipps do thereupon humbly offer that six hundred pounds
part of the said one thousand and Seaventy one pounds sixteen
shillings and Twopence with such further summe as shall
remain (after deduction of the duty of the fourteenpence per
Tun and one fourth part of the One shilling per Hogshead
for the buying of Arms and Amunition be allowed and expence
relating to the Government of Maryland and satisfaction of
his salary untill March last.

The Lords of His Majesty's most Honble
Privy Councill
Upon reading this day at the Board the humble Petition of
Charles Lord Baltemore praying that in regard his Agents at
Maryland are by their confinement disabled from acting for
him according to the power sent them; Orders may be given
to all such Masters of Vessells as have already made their last
voyage, and are come home as also to those that are daily
expected from Maryland, to pay the one shilling impost on
Tobacco & fourteen pence p tun to the Petitioner pursuant to
the Order of the 26th of February last. It was ordered by
their Lordships that it be referred to the Right Honble the
Lords Commissioners of the Treasury, to consider of the Peti-
tioner's request, and to give such Order thereupon as their
Lordships shall judge fitt.
