Now here at this day (to wit) the three and twentyeth day
of Aprill in the third yeare of their Majties Reign &ca Annoq
Dni: 1691: came the said George Plater Attorney Genld for
their Majties And the said prisoners viz Iohn Woodcock, George
Mason, William Burley & William Ayleward were sett to the
barr and the Iurors Impanelled likewise came to witt. William
Parker Samuell Luckett, William Bexley, lames Sedgewick
Philip Brisco Iohn Lowe Richard Southon Clement Haley
Abraham Clark lames Briggs Thomas Parslow and William
Husbands who being duely Elected tryed and sworne upon
their Oathes doe say that Iohn Woodcock George Mason and
William Burley are guilty of the murder whereof they stand
Indicted, but that William Ayleward is in no wise guilty
thereof.
Wherefore It is considered by the Court here this day to
witt the four and Twentyeth day of Aprill Anno Dni 1691:
that the said Iohn Woodcock George Mason & William Bur-
ley be taken home to the place from whence they came from
thence to the place of Execution, and there be hanged by the
Neck till they are dead and that the said William Ayleward
give bond with one sufficient surety for his appearance here
at the next Provinciall Court to be holden the first Tuesday in
Iuly next if he shall remaine so long within this Province and
for his good behaviour in the meane time, and thereupon to
be dismissed & goe thereof without day
Memdum
That Iohn Woodcock one of the prisoners mentioned in the
foregoing tryall after having pleaded to the jurisdiction of the
Court and being overruled therein at last pleaded with the
rest not guilty which being the plea upon which the Court
proceeded to tryall is onely mentioned in the draughts of the
Courts proceedings Ita Attestor
