Assignes of or from his or their Lands possessions or inherit-
ance of or in the said Province or any of the Territories there-
unto belonging And likewise the said Charles Baron of Bal-
temore doth further by the appointment aforesaid give and
grant unto the said Lionell Copley during the time of his
Exercise of the said Office full Power and authority from time
to time to make constitute, Ordaine and publish such whol-
some reasonable and profitable Ordinances and Proclamations
with their Majesties' said Province for the better Governing
of their Majesties' subjects there inhabiteing and with such
reasonable paines and penalties to be therein expressed as the
said Charles Baron of Baltemore himselfe might lawfully do if
hee were then and there personally present Willing and by
these presents requiring the said Lionell Copley to advise as
there shall be occasion with those who shall be of the Councill
there for the time being upon all Emergent Occasions touch-
ing concerning or relating unto the good government of the
said Province and of their Majesties subjects there And the
said Charles Baron of Baltemore doth hereby revoke and
annull and make void all former commissions heretofore at
any time given unto any person or persons in relation to all
or any the Offices, powers or authoritys hereby granted and
all and every power and powers, authority and authoritys
thing and things in them every or any of them given granted
mentioned or contained hereby declareing the same to be
revoked annulled and made voyd to all intents and purposes
immediately from and after the publishing of these presents
within their Majesties' said Province, Provided always that
these presents or any power, authority matter or thing herein
conteyned shall not extend or be contrued to extend to the
diminuation or prejudice of their Majestie's Right, Prerogative
Royall, Sovereignty or dominion in and over their Majesties'
said Province of Maryland or any the Territories or places
thereunto belonging. In witnesse whereof the said Charles
Baron of Baltemore hath hereunto sett his hand and seal the
day of in the 2nd yeare of the Reigne of our
Sovereign Lord and Lady William and Mary by the Grace of
God of England, Scotland, France and Ireland, King and
Queen Defenders of the faith etc Anno. Dni. 1690.
