remitt or release all and all manner of Capitall and Criminall
Offences committed within the said province or Dominions or
any of them as fully and amply as hee the said Lord Balte-
more could have lawfully done if these presents had not been
made, Treason and Wilfull Murther only excepted in which
Case the said Charles Baron of Baltemore doth hereby give
power to the said Lionell Copley upon any extraordinary
Occasions to Grant Repreives to the Offenders therein untill
and to the intent their Majesties pleasure may be further
knowne And the said Charles Baron of Baltemore doth
hereby further grant to the said Lionell Copley power and
authority to pardon, remitt & discharge all and all manner of
paines, penalties and forfeitures from time to time incurred by
any person or persons Bodies Politique or Corporate within
their Majesties said Province or Dominions or any of them or
by reason of any Crime or Crimes, Offence or Offences com-
mitted or to be committed against any the Laws Ordinances
or Orders of the said Province heretofore made or hereafter
to be made whatsoever or howsoever except before excepted
as fully and amply to all Intents Constructions and purposes
as the said Charles Baron of Baltemore might lawfully do if he
were then and there personally present to do the same And
also as often as hee the said Lionell Copley shall find it neces-
sary from time to time to call assemble and summons any
Generall Assembly or Generall Assemblies of the Freemen of
their Majesties' said Province or ot their Deputies or Dele-
gates. And the Generall Assembly and Assemblies so from
time to time called Assembled and summoned or to be called
Assembled or summoned from time to time when and as often
as hee shall judge it necessary to prorogue or otherwise to
dissolve at his pleasure. And likewise from time to time to
Ordaine make and enact by and with the Advice Assent and
Approbation of any such Assembly or Assemblies so called
Assembled or summoned as aforesaid good and wholsome
Laws and Acts for the well Governing and ordering of the
said Province and of their Majesties subjects Inhabiteing and
resideing there to be of Force untill the said Charles Baron of
Baltemore shall with and by the speciall allowance of the
King and Queen's most Excellent Majesties their Heires and
successors declare and publish or cause to be declared and
published within the said Province his particular dissent or
disagreement to the same so as the said Laws and Acts so to
be ordained made and enacted be consonant to reason and be
not repugnant or contrary but as near as conveniently may be
agreeable to the Laws,statutes and customes of the Kingdome
of England and so as the same do not extend to the disinher-
izen of the said Charles Baron of Baltemore his Heires or
