Public Hearings

The Commission holds public hearings to recognize the victims of lynching in each county, and to facilitate reflection and dialogue about the legacies of racism and racialized violence in the State of Maryland. Public Hearings are open to the public. The Commission offers an opportunity for the public to express their views at each hearing as part of a public comment period. For information regarding public engagement during meetings please view the Public Comment Policy. To inquire about a Public Hearing in your county please contact the Commission.
