Information:

In 1814, lot 41 on Market Street in Brookeville, Maryland was owned by Margaret Brooke. She used part of her inheritance from her late father, Roger Brooke IV, to purchase the lot from Deborah Phillips in 1804 for $12.1 Margaret sold the lot, which remained empty under her ownership, to Sarah B. Thomas, daughter of Brookeville founder Richard Thomas Jr., in August of 1825 for $35.99.2
