President, Maryland Sheriffs' Association, 2010-11 (1st vice-president, 2009-10; 4th vice-president, 2014-15). Contribution to Professionalism Award, Maryland Sheriffs' Association and Maryland Sheriffs' Institute, 2005. Married; four children.
