In March 2025, Construction Trades Board replaced Board of Electrical Examiners.

Annually, Commission reported on its activities to Board of County Commissioners.
Appointed by Board of County Commissioners, Commission consisted of a minimum of seven members who served three-year terms. Chosen by Commission, Chair and Vice-Chair served one-year terms (County Code, secs. 36-1 through 36-8).
Human Relations Commission was abolished in 2012.

Board of Electrical Examiners licensed electricians, and processed all electrical license applications, and fees as required by Board of County Commissioners. License exams were administered quarterly (Jan., April, July, Oct.). Moreover, Board heard grievances related to electrical licenses, electrical work, and could act as an arbiter between contractors and homeowners.
Board was last active in 2013.
Reorganized by 2017 as American Job Center, a joint partnership between Upper Shore Workforce Investment Board and Maryland Department of Labor.
Merged with Tourism Development Advisory Board to form Economic and Tourism Development Commission in May 2021.
Formed in 2002, Commission provided advice and assistance to those in Kent County who filed complaints of discrimination against federal or State agencies. In community, Commission promoted programs aimed at raising awareness of and discouraging unlawful discrimination. At behest of Board of County Commissioners, Commission also studied, submitted reports, and offered advice on matters of discrimination prohibited by federal or State law.
Reorganized as Office of Economic and Tourism Development in Dec. 2020.
Formed in 2010, Renewable Energy Task Force last met in April 2016.
Merged with Economic Development Commission to form Economic and Tourism Development Commission in May 2021.
