Board of Directors, Maryland Association of Counties, 2003 (1st vice-president). Member, Maryland Eastern Shore Resource Conservation and Development Council (vice-president, 2004). Member, Dorchester Arts Center; Dorchester County Historical Society; Friends of the Dorchester County Public Library; Mount Vernon Ladies Association. Widow; two children, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
