Retired fire specialist, Baltimore County Fire Department, 1982-2012. Owner/operator, Wantz Lawn Care, 1983-. Member, Pleasant Valley Community Volunteer Fire Department, 1975- (board of directors, 2015-; president). Member, Carroll County Fire Chiefs Association (past president); Carroll County Volunteer Emergency Services Association, 1981- (president, 1994-95); Carroll County Emergency Ambulance Services (past vice-president). Member, Westminster Municipal Band, 1982-. Board of Directors, Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore, 2016-; Maryland Association of Counties, 2019-. Community Fireman of the Year, Dundalk Veterans of Foreign Wars, 1983. Career Fire Fighter of the Year, Pikesville Chamber of Commerce, 2003, 2012.
