Plant manager, Lehigh Cement Company, Union Bridge, 1985-2003. Chair, Answering the Call Campaign for New Windsor Fire Department, 2003-05. Board of Directors, Carroll County Community College Foundation; Historical Society of Carroll County; Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) of Carroll County; Rape Crisis Intervention Service (treasurer). Past member, Board of Directors, Carroll County General Hospital Foundation; Carroll County Children's Fund; Carroll Lutheran Village (president, 1992-93). Member, Westminster Rotary Club (president, 2004-05); Carroll County Chamber of Commerce; Carroll Lutheran Village Community Advisory Committee; Wakefield Valley Study Committee. Member, Westminster United Methodist Church (past president, board of directors). Married; two children, seven grandchildren. Died in Westminster, Maryland, August 7, 2019.
