BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS

The Board of [Liquor] License Commissioners regulates the retail sale of alcoholic beverages for Calvert County (Code Alcoholic Beverages Article, secs. 14-101 through 14-2802).

In Calvert County, the Board's three members and one alternate are appointed by the Governor to two-year terms (Code Alcoholic Beverages Article, secs. 14-101 through 14-206).

BOARD OF ELECTRICAL EXAMINERS & SUPERVISORS

Meeting monthly in Prince Frederick, the Board of Electrical Examiners and Supervisors regulates the business of electrician in Calvert County. Its regulations govern the classes of licenses, the setting of fees, and the examination of applicants.

The three-member Board is appointed by the Governor with Senate advice and consent to two-year terms (Code Local Government Article, sec. 13-911; County Code, secs. 9-101 through 9-119).

GAMBLING PERMIT REVIEW COMMITTEE

The Gambling Permit Review Committee regulates gambling activities and the issuance of permits for gaming events.

Appointed by the Board of County Commissioners to four-year terms, the Committee consists of five members and two alternates (Code Criminal Law Article, sec. 13-701 through 13-709).

PLUMBING BOARD

The Plumbing Board regulates the business of plumbing in Calvert County. Its regulations specify the setting of fees, and the examination of applicants.

Three members make up the Board which is appointed by the Governor with Senate advice and consent to two-year terms (Code Local Government Article, sec. 13-915; County Code, secs. 9-201 through 9-210).
